Alpha Kappa Delta
Alpha Kappa Delta is an International Sociology Honor Society. It was founded in 1920 at the University of Southern California for the purpose of stimulating scholarship and promoting the scientific study of society. AKD is the Beta Chapter at the University of Florida. Our purpose is to “Investigate humanity for the sake of service eventually leading to improvement in the human condition.” In addition, AKD promotes and encourages academic and professional development through service, networking, and discussions. A new website for AKD is on its way. Please contact the AKD advisor if you have any questions about the organization.
