I am currently a Ph.D. student in Sociology at the University of Florida, transitioning from an Environmental science background with master’s and bachelor’s degrees in the field. My research is centered on holistically examining human-wildlife conflict dynamics in Nepal, with a specific focus on the common leopard, through the lens of General Strain Theory. Beyond this, my research interests encompass ethnographic analysis, mixed-method approaches, and climate change risk assessment. Utilizing qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews and visual aids, I aim to bridge scientific research with advocacy efforts, particularly through music as a singer-songwriter and an activist, to address pressing issues in human-wildlife conflict and advocate for affected communities through publications and also going beyond the research work to help communities in the real ground.
