The Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law is pleased to announce that Claudia Odgers, a PhD candidate in Criminology and Criminal Justice, has been awarded the prestigious O. Ruth McQuown Scholarship for Fall 2024. Granted by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, this scholarship recognizes Claudia’s dedication to advancing research and her outstanding academic achievements.
Originally from Chile, Claudia was a Bio-Fulbright student from 2019 to 2023. Her research focuses on desistance from crime, using data collected from individuals in both prison and parole settings. Claudia’s valuable contributions to criminological research and academic excellence exemplify the values celebrated by the O. Ruth McQuown Scholarship.
