Join us in celebrating former sociology undergraduate student Marquelle Ogletree, who has been selected for the prestigious Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship. This fellowship brings together a small group of passionate leaders from across the country who are dedicated to addressing hunger and its root causes at both local and national levels.
Marquelle, originally from Tallahassee, graduated from the University of Florida in May 2024 with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. During her time at UF, she served as a student director for Changemakers’ Dialogue and interned at the Florida Legislature. Her academic and personal experiences have inspired her commitment to equitable access to resources like healthcare, housing, and public transportation.
As an Emerson Fellow, Marquelle is working with Hunger Free Oklahoma in Tulsa, supporting their mission to end hunger in the state through policy advocacy, community partnerships, and innovative programs. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make in Oklahoma and across the country as part of this dynamic cohort of future leaders.
