New rankings for Sociology and Criminology graduate programs

Congratulations to the two graduate programs in the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law!

Speaking to its continued success, the Criminology, Law and Society graduate program placed No. 14 among the 39 public universities included in the 2021 Best Graduate School rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Among all the programs in the United States, the graduate program in Criminology, Law and Society ranked No. 15, rising from its No. 19 rank in 2018.

At the same time, confirming the University of Florida’s standing as a top public university and leading research institution, a series of graduate programs were ranked for the first time, among them the UF graduate program in Sociology. Of the 85 public institutions included in the 2021 U.S. News and World Report, UF’s graduate program in Sociology ranked No. 40 (or No. 64 overall).
