A recent graduate of the Criminology, Law and Society program, Tom Smith (opens in new tab) is the sole-author of an article about the role of offenders’ prominence within the co-offending network on gang crackdowns, which has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Criminal Justice (opens in new tab). Previously, this paper won the 2020 Akers Award in our department. Additionally, Tom is the lead author of an article about research topic overlap and the formation of scientific teams, which has just been published in the Journal of Informetrics (opens in new tab).
