Congratulations to Troy S. Okum! Troy, a doctoral student in the Sociology program, participated in the United Nations Institute of Technology and Research (UNITAR) Youth Climate Dialogue on November 19, 2020, where he had the opportunity to share his academic perspective on issues related to climate change. This invited virtual meeting consisted of individuals in countries around the world, representing a variety of academic and industry backgrounds. Troy brought a sociological perspective to the conversation, including how climate change is a concern for increasing socioeconomic inequalities for the most must vulnerable members of our society.
