Advising

Please email Dr. Tanya Koropeckyj-Cox with any questions or concerns, especially regarding your sociology major. If your question is straightforward, we may be able to resolve it via email. If not, I am happy to set up a Zoom meeting with you; again, send me an email with some available times, and we will coordinate. Be sure to use your official UF email account; whether you are a residential, Innovation Academy or UFO student; and your UF ID number.

Questions regarding non-sociology issues (i.e., foreign language requirements; science course/lab requirements; GenEd credit; off-track holds and holds of any kind; changing majors; petitions to withdraw; eligibility to add double majors/dual degrees; etc.) should be directed to the Academic Advising Center. AAC advising remains virtual this Fall, so you can reach the AAC advisors via their homepage and to set up Zoom meetings with them. If you need paperwork (i.e., double major forms; minor forms; overseas studies, etc., these are available at on their website). Completed paperwork should be submitted to them here.

Remember, if you are petitioning to change majors, add a double major, remain in the major, or receive credit for overseas courses, you must first meet with an advisor at the Academic Advising Center to determine your eligibility and obtain the necessary paperwork. Then contact the Undergraduate Coordinator for any signatures needed and to discuss your program plan for sociology and any other questions you may have.
